How do I use the Teacher’s Resource to maximise benefit?

The New Hodder English Teacher’s Resource on the web gives you clear guidance and advice on preparing for teaching the units in New Hodder English 1, 2 & 3, AND it’s easy to use!

This free resource enables you to quickly refer to a particular unit from one of the three New Hodder English books and offers instant advice and options for pre-unit preparation, planning, extending the activities and using extra resources.

The Unit by Unit Guidance section has links to each of the units from each book. Simply click on these links to download the FREE teacher guidance.

Does the Teacher’s Resource tell me how I can address the National Strategy for Teaching English objectives?

Yes! The Teacher’s Resource has Mapping Charts which make it easy for you to use New Hodder English and address the relevant objectives for your particular year group. There are two Mapping Charts for each year:

1.      A Mapping Chart to show on which pages a specific objective is addressed (for example, WL12 is addressed on pages 34 and 140 of New Hodder English 2)

2.      A Mapping Chart to show which objectives are covered on a certain page (for example, page 34 of New Hodder English 2 also covers SL4, SL9 and SL12).

The charts for Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9, correspond to New Hodder English 1, 2, & 3 respectively.
